ATLANTA – (May 25, 2023) – Pond today announced that Wade Carroll, AICP, has joined the firm as the Director of Transportation Planning. In this role, Carroll will use his extensive experience to build the firm’s transportation planning practice throughout the Southeast United States.
Carroll has more than 25 years of experience in transportation, environmental, community, and land use planning activities. His diverse background includes managing and delivering statewide and regional multimodal plans, Livable Centers Initiatives (LCI) studies, freight, transit, corridor planning and other regional studies. Carroll has led statewide, regional, and local planning efforts and gained a profound understanding of federal and statewide policy influence on Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and local government planning opportunities.

Carroll recently served as Project Manager for the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) 1002: “Metropolitan Planning Organizations: Strategies for Future Success”, a national guidebook for MPO best practices, and for the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy.
