JACKSONVILLE, FL – (December 20, 2024) – Pond & Company (“Pond”), an industry leader in engineering, architecture, planning, and construction management services, has been awarded a design contract for the resurfacing of State Road (SR) 13 in St. Johns County, Florida, by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District 2.
Under the scope of service, Pond will deliver to FDOT the design and construction contract documents for the resurfacing of approximately seven miles of SR 13, a hurricane evacuation route connecting growing residential areas of St. Johns County, Florida. Pond’s design will facilitate the resurfacing of the rural undivided highway with a typical section that includes two-travel lanes and paved shoulders.

Pond has supported FDOT on other projects throughout the state, including the replacement of bridge culverts on SR 289 over Carpenter’s Creek in Pensacola, I-10 over Piddlin Creek in Madison County, and the CR 18 'Rails-to-Trails' project located in Hampton, Florida.
