Pond Announces New Operational Technology Cybersecurity Design Program

ATLANTA – (December 23, 2024) – Pond & Company (“Pond”), an industry leader in engineering, architecture, planning and construction management services, has expanded its government market with the addition of a new Operational Technology Cybersecurity Design program. Leading the program are F. Charlene Watson and John Whitman who join Pond as Senior Operational Technology Cybersecurity Subject Matter Experts.
In their roles, Watson and Whitman will focus on cybersecurity design for the Department of Defense (DoD) and Government Control Systems, driving strategic growth for DoD and federal agencies. Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity is essential for protecting the uptime, security, and safety of industrial environments and critical infrastructure. The addition of Watson and Whitman will enhance Pond’s ability to safeguard operating technology assets from cyberattacks, while also focusing on complying with regulatory requirements.

Prior to joining Pond, Watson and Whitman co-led multi-million-dollar OT cybersecurity projects at AECOM and HDR, Inc. By leveraging their experience in designing secure systems for high-stakes federal projects, Watson and Whitman are poised to build Pond’s OT Cybersecurity Program into a global leader in resiliency, innovation, and planning.
