Pond Expands Global Life Sciences Practice

ATLANTA - (September 13, 2024) – Pond & Company (Pond), is expanding services in its Life Sciences market with two distinct additions – Dr. Rachel Gamble and Gilles Tremblay. 

Rachel Gamble, Doctor of Public Health, Certified Biological Safety Professional, and Registered Biosafety Professional, joins Pond as the Director of Science & Technology for the Life Sciences group. In this role, Dr. Gamble will lend her expertise in biocontainment facility operations, biorisk management programs, operational transition planning, and select agent/regulatory bodies to Pond’s U.S. and international clients. 

Gilles Tremblay joins Pond as Director of Commissioning Services for the Life Sciences group and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in regulations and guidelines to both plan and execute commissioning, verification, and validation of critical laboratory environments. Tremblay boasts 30 years of domestic and international operations and maintenance of containment facilities experience.

Dr. Gamble has an esteemed career beginning in academia followed by consulting for the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) and other U.S. and international clients. She served as Director of the Office for Environmental Safety and Director for the High Containment/Select Agent Research Facility at Baylor College of Medicine. She simultaneously held faculty appointments at University of Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health in the Epidemiology, Human Genetics, and Environmental Sciences department and at Baylor College of Medicine in the Molecular Virology and Microbiology department. She is actively involved and serves in professional organizations including American Biological Safety Association (ABSA), Southern Biosafety Association (SBA), and Front Range Biosafety Association (FRaBSA) in addition to serving on the editorial board of Applied Biosafety.

Tremblay has extensive experience in the construction industry and is recognized as a subject matter expert on controls and commissioning of research laboratories and containment facilities. During his career he developed and managed commissioning services within a global life science practice.
