ATLANTA - (February 24, 2024) - Pond along with its joint venture partner, CDM Smith, announced today it has been awarded a task order contract to support the planning and design needs of eight installations throughout the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Theater. Under the guidance of the Air Force Installation Mission Support Center’s Detachment 2, and in close coordination with the Headquarters PACAF Directorate of Civil Engineers, the Pond-CDM Smith JV LP will provide planning, programming, and design services supporting the facilities sustainment, restoration, and modernization (FSRM) programs at bases throughout the Pacific.
“FSRM is a crucial element of keeping facilities updated and relevant. With this approach at the forefront, our efforts will be tailored to improve installation resiliency, mission generation, and mobility operations at eight Air Force installations,” said Bob Ruch, Pond’s Executive Vice President of Federal Programs. “We are proud to support PACAF’s ‘Fight Tonight’ strategy.”
The $42M contract will support the FSRM programs at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea; Misawa AB, Japan; Andersen AFB, Guam; Eielson AFB, Alaska; Yokota AB, Japan; Kadena AB, Japan; Osan AB, Republic of Korea; and the PACAF Regional Support Center’s geographically separated units throughout the Pacific Theater.
