JACKSONVILLE, FL - (June 17, 2024) – Pond, an industry leader in engineering, architecture, planning, and construction management services, has been awarded a contract to provide architectural design services for the Nursing School at Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ). Pond’s scope includes reimagining and reconfiguring the North Campus Nursing School for a more efficient, effective, and attractive program at FSCJ North Campus.

The project will modernize and upgrade existing buildings to better support the growth of the Nursing Program campus which currently houses education and training space for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Practical Nursing Program (PN), Associate of Science Nursing, and Bachelor of Science Nursing degree programs. New and renovated spaces will be designed, constructed, and occupied in phases to ensure that existing Nursing School operations can continue with minimal disruption.

Pond will provide full design services, a Nursing Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Survey in accordance with Florida Department of Education (FDOE) State Requirement of Educational Facilities (SREF), program/space validation as per FDOE SREF, concept renderings, test fits of new areas to ensure that spaces can accommodate program uses, construction documents for office and labs, and construction administration services for all phases of the project.
