Pond is currently working with the United States Armed Forces to update the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) Document 3-430-05 Natural Gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas Distribution Pipelines to include guidance and standards for liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities.

The UFC is the guiding document for the design, construction, and operations/maintenance of all military facilities, and this particular section is used by all branches for energy-related projects.

Pond’s scope includes the development of an entirely new chapter relating to LNG facilities, with discussion on plant design, regulatory authority, commissioning, equipment selection, I&E systems, operations and maintenance, and fire protection considerations.

Pond’s subject matter experts have provided all new content for this document, and Pond has facilitated multi-service reviews of this document.
