Desoto III Solar
For three years, Pond provided environmental engineering services for Silicon Ranch, a commercial solar developer, owner, and operator. Pond conducted comprehensive noise and traffic studies, as well as cumulative noise impact studies, in support of two 50-megawatt solar facilities in Kentucky and 125 megawatts of solar facilities in Georgia.
Services for this utility-scale solar project with storage included evaluation of average and peak noise as well as impacts to traffic, road, and rail generated during construction and operation of the solar facilities (including risk assessment and establishment of mitigative measures). Wetlands and habitat studies, coordination, review and approval with the State Siting and Licensing Boards, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permitting, buffer variance permits, EPC coordination, and compliance oversight.
