MLK-Altama Bicycle Corridor Study
The MLK-Altama Bicycle Corridor Study enhances bicycle connectivity within the City of Brunswick, GA. Pond developed an environmental and cultural resources desktop screening, traffic counts at key intersections to discern patterns between cars, pedestrians, and cyclists, and multiple community engagement sessions to assess the opportunities in the corridor.

The project evaluated costs and provided phased recommendations for implementing dedicated trails and complementary on-street bicycle facilities to establish a safe and efficient route for cyclists and motorists. Collaborative efforts with the City of Brunswick and Glynn County staff, the general public, the East Coast Greenway Alliance, Brunswick Area Transportation Service, Georgia Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, College of Coastal Georgia, Glynn County Schools, and the Gold Isles Convention and Visitors Bureau informed the final plan recommendations.
