SR 289 Culvert Replacement
Pond facilitated the replacement of the structurally compromised bridge culvert situated on SR 289 over Carpenters Creek in Escambia County. The outdated culverts were substituted with an elevated bridge, strategically designed to meet the essential hydraulic specifications.

A meticulously planned phased construction approach was employed, necessitating the temporary conversion of the 4-lane roadway to 2 lanes throughout the construction period and a temporary signal and mid-block crossing for pedestrians when sidewalk could not be maintained on both sides of the roadway.

Integral to the project were various ancillary tasks, including roadway and drainage design, the implementation of comprehensive maintenance of traffic strategy, coordination of signing and pavement marking, as well as the processes associated with right-of-way acquisition.

Furthermore, the project incorporated a robust public involvement initiative, featuring a public information meeting designed to engage and inform the community.
