Teambuilding

At Pond, our culture is one that lives “Work hard. Play hard. Live well.” Each year, Pond employees participate on official teams and compete in many Pond-sponsored company events. Just a few of the fun and competitive team activities we do every year include:

• Annual summer outing – Usually the first Friday each August, employees venture off-site for a full day of fun and teambuilding activities.
• Employee appreciation party – Usually in late winter, employees and their spouses (or a guest) are treated to an evening of food, fun and entertainment.
• Chili cook off competition – Each year, teams compete to wow the judges with the best chili recipe. This isn’t just a cooking contest… teams often create themes and act out scenes to support their chili theme.
• Halloween costume contest – Each year, employees dress up in their favorite Halloween costume and parade in front of the judges to compete for valuable prizes.
• Operation Homefront fundraising drive – Each year, teams get excited about helping our service men and women and their families by collecting the most coin/cash donations for their team’s contribution.

In addition to fun team events, there are also team events for professional development, including:

• Department / group retreats
• Industry conferences / trade shows
• Corporate sales and marketing events

Business Casual

Pond fosters a business casual environment where value is placed on individual and team contributions, as well as rewards. We recognize that without our people we will not achieve success. If our employees cannot have fun doing what they do, then they will not do what they do with passion.

Volunteer / Charity

Operation Homefront
Pond & Company partners with Operations Homefront to raise contributions the families of military service men and women. With assistance covering everything from food and household expenses to automobiles and wounded warrior care, the money raised from all our employees in 2010 was appreciated and put to great use.

United Way
Pond & Company sponsors an annual voluntary fund raising drive for the national system of volunteers, contributors and local charities built on the proven effectiveness of local organizations helping people in their own communities. In 2007, we broke our all-time record for firm-wide employee contributions!

Green Initiatives
Pond & Company employees are committed to walking the walk of sustainable design, as well as energy-efficient and earth-friendly living. We incorporate green living into our personal and professional lives. We strive to have a far-reaching impact through our design initiatives and outreach in our communities. Just a few of the basic things we do include recycling paper, plastic, glass and cans in our offices; recycle old computer and electronic equipment; and always look for ways to reduce our carbon footprint on the earth. Atlanta Food Bank
